Guitar Boy

Caleb recently starting learning how to play the guitar. A guy from our church is giving lessons, so Caleb and his dad both signed up and went together. They both came home with sore fingertips but also excitement over learning a new instrument. It's fun to sit and watch them practice the chords they have learned and to see how much they are enjoying it!

The Rebels

Caleb getting ready for his game!

This game was played in Sedona on the nicest field ever! It was so beautiful with the Red Rocks surrounding us on every side!

Caleb sat out the first quarter so he watched the game from the sidelines with his coach. He is number 13 this year!

Caleb heading to get directions from his coach.

Playing defense with his good friend Carson!

Nice kick Caleb!

Look at that form! Way to go goalie!

Playing goalie is either exciting or boring. Sometimes you have to just watch and wait for the ball to come back down your way.

Talking with the coaches after the game.

Caleb's team won this game 4 to 2. Good game. Good game.

Wearing the goalie shirt!

Grandma Debi came to the games this day. It's always fun to have family cheering you on!
Way to go Caleb!

Cross Country Cheetah

This is the second year that Caleb has run cross country. For some strange reason that I don't understand at all, he loves it. I am not a runner, don't like it, never have liked it, and I'm guessing I never will!

Caleb however, loves it!

Waiting for the race to start...
On your mark...

Get Set...

GO!!

Cousin Lacey came to watch him race. Grandma Debi and Grandpa Kim also came!

Almost done....Caleb heading to the finish line.

Waiting in line to get his ribbon. He placed 21st out of all the group of boys his age!

He amazes me how he can practice every day after school in the sweltering heat and still say, "it was good" when I pick him up after practice and ask him how it went!

I may not like running, but I sure love supporting my boy.

Off to a great start

Last night was open house at Caleb and Levi's school. We got to go meet in the gymnasium at the school with all the other parents and kids and be introduced to all the teachers and staff. Then the boys got to take us to their classrooms to see their desks and meet their teachers.

After all the classroom fun the boys just had to go on the awesome slide at their school. This pictures doesn't really do it justice. It's actually a super long slide that goes all the way down the side of the hill!

The new school year is off to a great start. The boys are both enjoying their teachers and like their new classrooms. Caleb also started cross country this week and has been coming home everyday with red cheeks and lots of sweat!

Derek keeps asking when he is starting school. Only 5 more days!

School Time!

The boys on their first day of school. They were excited but a little nervous! It's going to be a busy day. Levi has a dentist appointment and gets to leave school for a little bit and both older boys have to go to the doctor for their annual check ups after school and some needed immunizations!

Caleb is in 6th grade this year.
Levi is in 4th grade.
Derek will be in Preschool this year but his school doesn't start for another week and a half!

My Three Sons

The boys fishing at Dead Horse State Park, it was Derek's first time fishing. Caleb loves fishing, it is one of his favorite things to do!

This is Levi with my friend Lynn's dog Pepper. He loved this dog so much he wanted to take her home. Pepper is so big the kids could get on her back and ride her!

Here is Caleb with a butterfly he found at the park that landed on his hand!

This is Derek being silly at a animal park in Kentucky while visiting Tami and Joe

Here is Caleb, Levi and I eating cookies Caleb had made from scratch! Yum!

I LOVE my boys, they keep life interesting and there is always something fun to do! They may be loud and somedays drive me crazy but they are mine and I wouldn't trade them for anything!! :)
