My Three Sons

The boys fishing at Dead Horse State Park, it was Derek's first time fishing. Caleb loves fishing, it is one of his favorite things to do!

This is Levi with my friend Lynn's dog Pepper. He loved this dog so much he wanted to take her home. Pepper is so big the kids could get on her back and ride her!

Here is Caleb with a butterfly he found at the park that landed on his hand!

This is Derek being silly at a animal park in Kentucky while visiting Tami and Joe

Here is Caleb, Levi and I eating cookies Caleb had made from scratch! Yum!

I LOVE my boys, they keep life interesting and there is always something fun to do! They may be loud and somedays drive me crazy but they are mine and I wouldn't trade them for anything!! :)

My Model and a Photo Shoot

This is my little man, who at times is forced to be my model whether he wants to be or not! And usually since it's hard to get him to sit still or even smile at the camera, he gets bribed to do so. I think during this recent photo shoot he was being bribed with some sort of candy. It's amazing how the promise of something sugary and sweet can get a little guy to sit still and pose and look at the camera for a semi-extended period of time!

While I have always loved taking pictures, I am just recently getting more in to the art of photography. When my good friend Kristy introduced me to Pioneer Woman's website, this really spurred me on in my love of photography and making me want to be a better photo taker. Although I do have quite a ways to go before I would call myself good, I do have a lot of fun thinking of creative photo opportunities and capturing precious moments of everyday life as they happen! PW has also ignited my love of cooking (which we will save for another post). PW's blog was also one of the first I ever read and if you love cooking, photography or hearing interesting and quirky stories of life on a ranch then you have to check it out!

I think my little man did amazingly well throughout this photo shoot! What a good sport!

A good time to start...

Yesterday was the last day of my 20's….yes….today I turned 30!! I thought now would be a good time to start a blog. I've been pondering it for awhile as I look at other blogs and love what I see. Just maybe someone would be interested in what I have to say? I've thought maybe my life was too boring and I wouldn't have enough funny/interesting/non-boring facts to write about….and this is probably true. However here I am...I hope to be able to share my daily adventures of family, work, children and life in general with my family and friends. Hope you enjoy the adventure!
